Revitalize the Pavilion
Our new Pavilion in East Coker is a fantastic community facility that combines modern, high-quality amenities with outstanding outdoor space.
The building features FA-standard changing rooms, excellent shower facilities, improved toilet provision, a modern kitchen, and refurbished meeting and function rooms that can be enjoyed by a wide range of groups and organisations.
The Pavilion will be available to hire for private events, children’s parties, meetings, social gatherings, sporting activities and commercial events – providing a versatile venue at the heart of the community.
Beyond the building itself, the Pavilion is surrounded by wonderful open space, including football pitches and areas suitable for a variety of outdoor activities, making it a true hub for sport, recreation, and community events. Looking to the future, we are particularly excited about the possibility of welcoming a cricket team back to East Coker and seeing the Pavilion become home to even more sporting opportunities for local residents.
Cemetery Landscape
Over the last 12 months, extensive clearing and landscape works have been taking place in the cemetery which should give us many new plots for the future. This project was much bigger than initially thought and access had to kindly be obtained by the cemetery’s neighbours to help with the excavation. A new fence line has also been created and new trees have been planted. So it should not be long before the cemetery is once again and tranquil and peaceful place.
