Halves Lane Update

‘It is with great pleasure that we heard yesterday that the Appeal against rejection of the planning application for 14 business units in Halves Lane has been dismissed by the Government Inspector. The conclusion was that the harm it would do to the area outweighs the possible benefits of employment and business opportunities.

It was pleasing for the Parish Council as, by working with a number of agencies like CPRE and the Somerset Council itself, not to mention a good number of parishioners who attended the Hearing or had written objections, we proved that it is worth fighting these badly considered planning applications.
