Reinstatement of Mobile Library Service

During August a mobile library service will be operating again in your area. The updated routes will be available on the Somerset County Council website at www.somerset.gov.uk/mobilelibrary.  Route plans will also be available at every Somerset Library as well as from the mobile libraries themselves.

Mobile library visits will be monthly. If you have a Somerset library card you can start to use the mobile straightaway.  Otherwise a library card can be issued to you at the time of your visit – simply bring along some form of identification, such as a driving licence or utility bill that displays your current name and address.  As at all Somerset libraries, customers can borrow up to 20 items at any one time.

The four mobile libraries re-entering service are based at Bridgwater, Taunton, Williton and Wells.  This is in addition to the two mobiles that are already providing a service – the routes for these two vehicles will continue unchanged.  East Coker will receive a visit from a mobile library operating from Wells that will call on Thursdays

All enquiries about the mobile library service can be answered by contacting a library advisor on 0845 3459177.

The newly-appointed mobile library drivers/assistants will be very pleased to see you and we all hope that the reinstated service will be well supported.

Please see the calendar for details of the stop dates, times and locations.
